The revolutionary new Paralda is the only air purifier that meets both Energy Star and lead free standards in addition to being ozone safe. Finally, an air purifier that is actually good for the air!
It's the first air purifier to meet both Energy Star and RoHS standards for energy efficiency and clean function. Not only does the Paralda filter out harmful bacteria, pollen, and mold, but it reduces energy use and has a design that's completely lead-free!
Unlike many air purifiers, the Paralda uses the industry recognized best filter technology as well as a new age design to enhance any decor. The translucent outer core is accented with a bamboo green inner core.
With advanced features like EPA recommended HEPA filters with ionizers and a long-life UV lamp for bacterial control and programmable controls, the Paralda has set a new standard in air cleaning. The Paralda is a leader in green design and is the first air purifier ever to be RoHS compliant (ie no lead, safe for environment), Energy Star qualified, and ozone safe. In addition, the Paralda is supported by Alen's lifetime warranty program for air purifiers.

Are you in Danger? Here are the facts:
Threatening mold spores in your home air:
There is a wide diversity of mold spores floating in the indoor air of your home, all the time. Even outdoors, the spore concentrations reach up to 200,000 spores per cubic meter. When the spores find a damp spot indoors, like in your basement or bathroom or water damaged walls, they can start growing. The growing fungi eat whatever they are growing on, including wood, paper, carpet or foods. They start to produce more and more spores.
Molds, also called mildew, are microscopic fungi. Releasing mold spores is how fungi grow and reproduce. Those spores are typically adapted for airborne dispersal, and they distribute allergic, infectious, and toxic diseases.
Like with asbestos, exposure to household mildew and the spores have been suspected to cause a wide variety of health problems, from flu-like symptoms and allergy to liver damage.
In particular, millions of Americans are allergic to the fungus. Symptoms of mold allergy from mildew exposure are often similar to symptoms of the flu, common cold, viruses or infections from other substances. Even if initially you are not allergic, without proper mold removal, you can develop allergy from living in a damp or moldy house.
Exposure to house molds is also known to trigger asthma attacks in children.
Toxic mold (like black mold) generate poisons to kill off competing fungi and bacteria. For some people those toxic substances can cause severe acute reactions, much beyond common allergies. The risks of toxicity grow with toxic fungi amount in house.
House dust can be extremely harmful in adults and children.
Based on recent research studies, dust is expected to kill as many as 50,000 Americans every year [as discussed in a recent detailed overview "Death by Dust" by Peter Jaret, Health, 1059938X, June 2002, Vol. 16, Issue 5]. And it is not only breathing problems. Heart attack is another major health effect. And it is not only the larger particles that you can see floating in a light beam. The finest particles, the invisible ones, are particularly dangerous to your heart health.
House dust most commonly includes particles of fibers, human or animal skin, mold spores, pollens, particles of foods or plants, hair, fur, feathers, and even dried saliva and urine from your pets. There are also particles of skin from people in your household, from your dog or cat, or from other animals. Many of those particles are not just daily dirt. They are serious allergens.
Dust is coming from everywhere. Every time you are vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, cooking, or just walking around your house, you raise large amounts of particles into the indoor air. When they go into the air from the ground or other dirty surfaces they also tend to pick up with them acidic aerosols and toxic metals. Those aerosols dissolve into your blood and may cause a variety of health damages beyond your breathing system.
Dust mites' droppings in your home air
Dust mites are one of the usual culprits behind many breathing problems. Based on a number of research studies, they are considered the most common cause of allergy in the United States.
Each mite excretes up to 20 droppings every day. The droppings are one of the main causes of allergies. These allergens float easily into the indoor air and get into your lungs.
They live even in the cleanest homes. You cannot see them, but they are there. Dust mites' favorite places are mattresses, bedding, fabric furniture, and carpeting. They also manage on the dead skin that all of us shed every day.
Even if you would kill all the dust mites in your home, within a month or so their population would be back, coming from other places in which people spend time, such as other people's homes or cars.
It is important not to underestimate the danger of dust mite allergy. Trigger the allergy long enough and you risk developing the so-called immune-mediated lung inflammation, better known as asthma.
